She wore a galaxy on her rib-cage,
settled high upon her breast,
when I kissed her I could taste it;
the currency of her success.
I named her Eve because it's the name most commonly associated with a) women and b) ribs. So it seemed natural. :giggle: Written in response to a prompt game, join in here: clickity!

Simply beautiful. I can play out the words you are saying in my head and the image is a very vivid, dramatic, and captivating one. You really play with the readers imagination. So far I have not read any poems with such great wording: your poem is definitely original. I gave you 4 out of 5 stars for technique because it seems like it can be added on too; regardless of how long it is it is still amazing. As for the impact, I really felt chills and this good vibe pulsate through me as I read along to this.

Interesting- reading this over and over, I get an image of high society, of being rich and not afraid of flaunting it.

I see.....that's great, because in 18 years PART of you can get social security then, while the other part is actually healthy and young enough to enjoy it!! :giggle:

(gosh............ I'm not only brilliant, but funny too....:laughing:      it's rare to find both of those qualities in one human being. :iconchickendanceplz:

he stripped off the world from his scapula
dropping down from his back
when I hit his face I could feel it;
my own debts from his failures
